COMMUNITY EVENT on "Extremism"- Didsbury Masjid



TWO LECTURES providing a discussion of the Government’s strategy to ‘prevent extremism’ and an explanation of the legal framework to ‘counter terrorism’, proposed laws currently under discussion and their likely impact on the Muslim community, its Mosques and life in the United Kingdom.

This event will be useful for Imams, Mosque Officials, Student Islamic Society Members, Representatives of Muslim Groups, Teachers of Muslim Schools, Islamic Bookshop Owners, Fundraisers for causes around the world and Members of the Muslim Community, to attend as these policies and new proposals to prevent ‘extremism’ and counter ‘terrorism’ will have the greatest impact upon the Muslim community.

Further this event will be useful for Local Authority Employees, Police Officers, Race-Relations Officers, Members of Parliament and Councillors and others working with and for the Muslim Community to attend and understand some of the issues and concerns centred around anti-extremism policies and counter-terrorism proposals.
